You’ve read the title and now you’re wondering. What is Derby Days?

Derby Days is an annual weeklong ~~marathon~~ sorority competition organized by the brothers of the Epsilon Omicron Chapter of the Sigma Chi fraternity (Fun Fact: Brad Pitt is a Sigma Chi alum). All proceeds will benefit the Children’s Miracle Network. To date, the brothers of Sigma Chi have raised $1,500 dollars for their annual pledge to Children’s Miracle Network.

On Monday, the sisters of Alpha Gamma Delta, Alpha Omicron Pi, Alpha Phi, and Kappa Alpha Theta battled it out in a hot dog eating competition at the Sigma Chi House. Yes, sorority girls were competing in a hot dog eating competition.

Last night, Jim Bob Ray’s played host to Sigma Chi’s annual Miss Greek, where the beautiful ladies of the Greek Scene competed in a three part pageant including a formal portion, a talent performance, and a bathing suit competition.

Tonight, one sorority will be crowned champion of Derby Days 2012.

The brothers of Sigma Chi cordially invite you to attend Derby Days’ Airbands tonight at London Taphouse at 8 PM. For the final event, the sororities will be performing dance routines that will be sure to impress. Come out and cheer for your favourite sorority!
