747 April Mix

brittanyluongo Posted on April 11, 2012

Someone needs to get a hold of Simon Cowell immediately because it seems to me that LONDON HAS GOT TALENT! As clichéd as it sounds, this town has been pumping out some pretty sweet djs lately that have not been going unnoticed. Our very own Giddy, going as far as opening for impressive acts such as Wolfgang Gartner, Avicii, and Dada Life (among many others), which has definitely made me sit back and wonder what I’m doing with my life…

Enough of this pity party! Let’s get down to business. Today I have a special April chart mix for you by our UWO first year producer/dj from Vancouver, Ryan Chan, who spins and produces under the pseudonym, 747.

His mix features songs from djs you might be more familiar with such as Nicky Romero and Michael Woods but there are also songs that might be less familiar and yet just as great. I was taken aback when I was listening to the mix and female vocals for one of my favourite Radiohead songs, “Creep”, came on. This mix covers all the bases of music including a few of his own great original mixes the awesome alternative-samplings of “Creep” on Matteo Dimarr’s original mix. Take a nice, long listen to this mix; it may not be something that you’re used to, but it’s definitely impressive and will add to London’s list of impressive talent.
