The Gilded YouthWhile in Paris this past summer, I happened to live in a neighbourhood where all the fashion shows were during mens’s and haute couture fashion week. On the day of the Armani Privé show, I decided to take my camera and head over to Trocadero to see what I could capture. Upon arrival, I was surrounded by a flood of photographers from all the major magazines, blogs, and newpapers. Everyone was awaiting the arrival of the attendees. Despite the crazy frenzy that occured once the editors, socialites, and celebs arrived, I still managed to get some incredible shots-Anna Wintour, Anne Dello Russo, Franca Sozzani, Emmanuel Alt, Carine Roitfeld, Cate Blanchett and Katie Holmes to name a few. One woman, who was possibly the best dressed there, showed up in my favourite Prada heels. From that moment on, I was determined to find out who this petite lady with incredible style was.
I soon discovered her name was Miroslava Duma, a former editor for Harper’s Bazaar Russia who now works freelance. She appears on just about every blogshpere from The Sartorialist to Garance Dore and The Gilded Youth. Below are some of the shots I was able to capture this summer, as well as other pictures that I believe encompass the essence of her personal style.
