Adele, you are just, “too fat!” At least that’s what 78-year old creative director for Chanel and Fendi had to say during his interview with Paris newspaper Metro. When asked for his views on today’s women pop stars, Karl Lagerfeld said, “The thing at the moment is Adele. She is a little too fat, but she has a beautiful face and a divine voice.” While he prefers Adele’s music, he makes it known that he is keen on a much thinner Lana Del Rey and Florence Welch. Karl’s distasteful and unnecessary comments didn’t seem to affect the British songbird at all, she says, “I enjoy being me; I always have done. I’ve seen people where it rules their lives, you know, who want to be thinner or have bigger boobs, and how it wears them down. And I just don’t want that in my life. It’s just never been an issue – at least, I’ve never hung out with the sort of horrible people who make it an issue.” Not only did Adele go six for six at the Grammy’s, the voluptuous soul singer graces March’s cover of Vogue – take that Karl!
