evemarshallThe 39th annual People’s Choice Awards aired last week to recognize artists and their work. The show is filled with non-stop performances and, of course, award winnings. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 won for best movie and the two artists Johnny Depp and Emma Stone took the titles of Favorite Actor and Actress. But what about out off stage and on the red carpet? This year was filled with some fabulous dresses and suits—and of course some not so fantastic ones as well. Here are the best and the worst dressed of the 2012 People’s Choice Awards:
The Best Dressed – These five woman captured our attention on the red carpet this year!
Emma Stone
Emma Stone looked fantastic in her marching band, emerald blazer and gold accessories. The details of her outfit were just exquisite! Her look was classy, simple and elegant. Not only did she take the cake on the best actress of the year but she is definitely our best dressed as well.
Miley Cyrus
Miley Cyrus rocked a deep v-necked dress and paired it with cute metallic pumps. With her hair off to the side, Cyrus looked sexy yet adorable in this cream sensation. This might be our favorite look of Cyrus ever!
Julianne Hough
Julianne Hough looked absolutely stunning in her backless dress. The metallic long sleeved dress paired with sandal style heels makes this outfit one of our favorites for the night.
Vanessa Hudgens
Vanessa took a bold approach dressing in a long black dress with gold spider web detailing. She completed the outfit with a smokey eye and gold earrings. She looks fabulous and this daring dress shows off her back—which is always a plus.
Ashley Benson
Ashley Benson wins the cute award this year. Her adorable white dress with black trim suits her figure perfectly! Completing her amazing ensemble with simple black hoops, a black clutch and black pumps, Benson rocked the red carpet!
The Worst Dressed - These five ladies pulled an “oops” on the red carpet this year.
Ginnifer Goodwin
Ginnifer Goodwin’s hot pink dress sure has potential but the outfit failed to impress with its awkward sleeves and weird shoe choice. Overall, Goodwin won’t win best dressed this year.
Lucy Hale
Lucy Hale’s dress also had potential but the cut is all over the place. The edgy dress has too many weird detailings and an extremely large shoulder. Bravo to Hale for being bold, but this dress just wasn’t our favorite of the evening.
Kat Dennings
What was Kat Denning’s thinking? She looks like an old maid. This beautiful girl underplayed her looks just a little too much this year!
Ashley Greene
This dress worn by Ashley Greene was all wrong. It fitted her body awkwardly and hugged her in places it shouldn’t. For a dress that was designed for her, it could have fit her a lot better! Poor Greene!
Courtney Coleman
What’s that saying…Save the worst for last? Well here’s the worst! Miss Coleman got it all wrong! The frills, the color, the bow detail? This outfit is just one big oops!
This year the most interesting dress award goes to Jennifer Lawrence from the new movie The Hunger Games. Her dress has wave detailing paired with netting. Lawrence was almost unrecognizable in this unique dress! I can’t wait to see what next year’s red carpet has in store. Check out the crazy dress below!
