Irvine Welsh’s Ecstasy at Museum London’s Film Festival: February 9

Pooch Posted on January 27, 2012

DJ culture, club life, and love drugs are the focus of director Rob Heydon’s new film, Irvine Welsh’s Ecstasy. Ecstasy is the long-awaited (10 years in production) follow-up to Irvine Welsh’s first novel-turned-movie, the infamous cult-classic, Trainspotting.

Adam Sinclair and Kristin Kreuk (remember Smallville?) star in this love story set against the backdrop of the wild Scottish party scene. With a soundtrack that includes Paul Oakenfold, Tiesto, Mark Knight and even an on-screen cameo of John Digweed, himself, Ecstasy may be the most promising party  film since It’s All Gone Pete Tong.

Ecstasy will be screening at Museum London’s Opening Night Gala, the kick-off party to its 4-day Domestic Arrivals Festival of Canadian Film. The reception will feature DJ Andycapp of Bang The Party!, a cash bar, and attendance by members of the Ecstasy cast and crew.
